Project Objectives June 4, 2009

The proposed research project has four key objectives which are identified as follows.

To identify the current marketing situation of Dixon Trading. Examine its particular marketing information. That should include products, pricing, promotion, and distribution. Compare the information to the other competitors in New Zealand. Finally find out the factors which are causing Dixon Trading lose the markets.

To identify and examine the difference between Dixon Trading South and Dixon Trading North, find out the factor which causes the Dixon Trading South running its business worse than Dixon Trading North.

To identify the strengths and weaknesses of Dixon Trading, examine how a customer can be interested of the shops. What method should be taken to improve the number of customer? Such as advertisement, cheaper price. Also the style and culture of clothes as well.

Analyze the Dixon Trading records to identify the factors which affect the profit Dixon Trading made. In business, lower cost always made a higher profit, so I need to find out the way for reducing any cost paid by Dixon Trading. The cost might include rent cost, product cost, and equipments cost. By the way, the most important factor should be the product cost.
